Through Match Grant, RRISA offers alternative to public assistance
Empowering families means giving them the tools to become self-sufficient. Community support of cash and in-kind donations are used to match federal dollars in order to give refugees the greatest opportunities to become self-sufficient. 
Making the match can take many forms. time, dollars, energy and goods and services are all vital to supporting families as they transition to become self-reliant. Self-sufficiency provides a major source of pride and accomplishment for most clients who have come from unstable and often deplorable living conditions.
With the Match Grant program, RRISA is able to offer an alternative to public assistance to its clients. This program provides financial assistance to employable refugees while promoting early employment.
Thanks to the support of the community, RRISA receives many generous cash and in-kind donations that are then matched by federal dollars in order to give refugees the greatest opportunities to become self-sufficient.

Co-sponsorship of a refugee family is enhanced through the Match Grant Program. Recording all in-kind and financial contributions will allow us to submit for matching funds, thereby leveraging each donation 2 to 1. Your involvement in the Match Grant program helps families reach a higher potential for self-sufficiency.
