Education and Youth
The adjustment to life in America can be difficult for refugee families. These families must learn a new language, obtain sustainable employment, navigate a new environment and adjust to a new culture in a very short period of time. For refugee children, the adjustment to the American school environment can also be a big challenge. These children often have gaps in their formal education due to war and flight and struggle to learn a new language, master basic skills and ?fit in? in a new culture. RRISA?s Education and Youth Program provides education and support services for the entire family.
